Liberty and Riverwatch take the 8th Grade County Championship

The Forsyth County Middle School 8th grade basketball season came to a close last night at the County Championships at Lambert High School.  In the Girls Championship game the Liberty Patroits finshied off an undefeated season by defeating the North Forsyth Wildcat 42-26. In the Boys matchup the Riverwatch Panthers won a very close game by beating a very good North Forsyth Wildcat team 65-64.  All teams fought hard, and showed great sportsmanship.  Thank you to Lambert High School for allowing us to use their facility, and Thank you to DeSana Middle School for Hosting.

Championship matchup set.

In tonights action South girls defeated Little Mill  37-13 to advance to the championship game Saturday, where they will take on North who defeated DeSana 41-27.  1 seed South will play 2 seed North in the Championship at Forsyth Central High School’s new gym at 4:00pm Saturday, January 25th.  After the girls game on Saturday 1 seed Riverwatch will match up with 2 Seed South in the boys championship at FCHS.  Riverwatch made it way into the championship by defeating Liberty 65-45.  South got by North 45-33 to make the championship game.  Admission to the game is $6 adult and $4 Students.
